Abstract

This article presents some aspects of the Neogranadina economy of the 17th century, such as trafficking and smuggling, through the life trajectory of subjects such as immigrants, slaves, liners, mestizos and freedmen. We reconstructed and explored them ties based on the information found in the list of causes of inquisitorial sources, between 1610 and 1660. We cross-refer to the tax, alcabalas, customs, supplies and Real Hacienda records to better understand occupations, strategies and businesses. of ordinary people and their insertion in the network of Portuguese traders accused of Judaism.
