ALBERTO DUQUE LÓPEZ: INCESTO, HEDONISMO Y GERONTOFOBIA EN RETRATO DE UNA SEÑORA RUBIA DURANTE EL SITIO DE TOLEDO

Resumen

Este artículo analiza el cuento Retrato de una señora rubia durante el sitio de Toledo, del escritor barranquillero Alberto Duque López. En primer término, se ofrecen datos generales sobre la obra del autor, que permiten comprender de una mejor manera las características narrativas, estéticas e ideológicas de este cuento de madurez; luego se realiza un análisis detallado del relato a partir de varios aspectos fundamentales: la inclinación incestuosa de la nieta narradora, la intertextualidad, el hedonismo y la posterior fobia a la vejez que manifiesta el abuelo Hemingway. Este examen se realiza a partir de la las teorías literarias modernas, la sociocrítica y algunos aportes provenientes de los estudios culturales.

ABSTRACT

This article analyzes the story “Retrato de una señora rubia durante el sitio de Toledo”, by Caribbean writer Alberto Duque López. Initially, the paper offers general data on the author’s work to better understand the narrative, aesthetic and ideological characteristics of this story; then a detailed analysis of the story is presented beginning with several fundamental aspects: the incestuous inclination of the granddaughter, the intertextuality, the hedonism and the gerontophobia of the grandfather. Modern literary theory and cultural studies are utilized in this analysis.
