ESTRUCTURA MÍTICA EN EL HOSTIGANTE VERANO DE LOS DIOSES

Abstract

Este ensayo es un diálogo con la novela de Fanny Buitrago El hostigante verano de los dioses. En el intercambio sígnico fueron descubriéndose algunos aspectos de interés: la estructura mítico-legendaria de la obra, las diversas voces narrativas e ideológicas, las visiones de mundo que subyacen en el relato, así como algunas técnicas narrativas: Telling, showing, cajas chinas, focalización. Se concluye que se trata de una novela de iniciación, donde los ejes del Eros y el Thánatos van cruzando las existencias de un grupo de muchachos y muchachas rebeldes, que constatan las profecías escritas en el protolibro.

ABSTRACT

This essay is a dialog with Fanny Buitrago’s novel. In the interchange of signs we discovered some aspects of interests: the mythic and legendary structure of the work, the various narrative and ideological voices, the worldviews that underlie the story and some narrative techniques like telling, showing, the Chinese boxes, and focalization. We conclude that the novel is a sort of initiation where the concepts of Eros and Thanatos are axes that run through the life of a group of rebellious boys and girls who experienced the prophecies of this book.
