Abstract

In this article, the cycles or poetic stages found in seven books by the poet Horacio Benavides are traced. The first alludes to the beginnings (Origins), where the following aesthetic development is outlined, in a panoramic way. A second refers to the stage of naturalistic fabulation (presence of animals, as a subjective bestiary). A third deals with the poetization of death and love (Thánatos / Eros), that contrast that has been the support of a large part of universal literature.
