La prueba de alcoholemia es un método de medición de la cantidad de alcohol en la sangre a través de un aparato de estimado de esta concentración en el aliento de las personas, esta prueba puede no ser garante tanto por errores humanos como por errores químicos, que la legislación colombiana no tuvo en cuenta a la hora de legislar, es por esto, que en el presente trabajo se trata de mostrar como es el funcionamiento de la prueba y sus incidencias en las sanciones administrativas que se imparten por conducir en estado de embriaguez.

The breathalyzer test is a method of measure amount of alcohol in the blood through a device for estimating the amount of alcohol in the people breath, this test cannot be guaranteed because the Colombian legislation did not think about the human errors and chemical errors when they make the law , that is why, in the present text, we try to show how to fix the test and its effects in the administrative sanctions that give for drunk driving.
