ACCIÓN COLECTIVA LGBT: POR EL RECONOCIMIENTO DE LA DIVERSIDAD SEXUAL Y LAS IDENTIDADES DE GÉNERO EN EL CARIBE COLOMBIANO

Resumen

En los últimos años la población LGBT (Lesbianas, Gays, Bisexuales, Transgeneristas e Intersex) ha adquirido un espacio protagónico en el acontecer público del país y del continente. Mediante ejercicios de movilización social, ha logrado la instauración de leyes que reconocen sus derechos. En este artículo se disertará sobre los logros y las movilizaciones emprendidas por la vía jurídica, al igual que la generación de campañas orientadas a la formación de la ciudadanía en general, para que se respete y se reconozca la diversidad, como un valor de primer orden en la sociedad.

ABSTRACT

During the last years, the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex) population has become a protagonist on the country´s and the continent´s public sphere. By means of social mobility, the LGBT movement has achieved the recognition of its rights with the creation of laws. This article will go over the achievements and mobilizations done throughout the legal system, as well as over the campaigns oriented towards the formation of citizenship, particularly those that aim to reinforce respect and acknowledge diversity as top-notch values in society.
