EFRAIM MEDINA REYES: HACERSE FIGURA EN EL CAMPO DE LA NOVELA COLOMBIANA DESDE LA CONTRACULTURA

Abstract

Este estudio busca establecer la narrativa de Efraim Medina Reyes, cuáles son sus rasgos fundamentales, las intertextualidades que se tejen entre líneas y los elementos que constituyen su singularidad. La hipótesis central ubica su narrativa en la trasgresión de las formas culturales y literarias a través de la contracultura que se manifiesta en una forma suya de contraliteratura. Para ello se analizan cuatro aspectos: la herencia de la generación Beat, los nexos con Charles Bukowski, el arrastre identitario a partir de la música y la voluntad de aculturación de su heterónimo Rep, lo cual desemboca en una narrativa que se expresa en la contradicción inherente, cuyos elementos son: héroes masculinos, artistas, fracasados; mujeres como objeto de deseo inalcanzable; reiteración del tema amoroso; visión crítica de la propia cultura; juego de falsas citas; diálogos al estilo del comic; crudeza de las imágenes, caos estructural e intertextualidades con los medios masivos de comunicación.

ABSTRACT

This paper pretends to establish the sort of narrative that Efraim Medina Reyes has; the kind of main features he uses, the inter-textual relations knitted among lines and the elements that constitute this singularity. The central hypothesis locates its narrative in the transgression on the cultural and literary shapes, through the counterculture that is shown on his counter-literary form. Four aspects are analyzed: The inheritance of the Beat generation, the links with Charles Bukowski, the identity haulage from music, and the will of acculturation of his heteronym narrator, Rep. That which ends in a narrative that is expressed in the inherent contradiction whose elements are: masculine heroes, artists, losers; women like objects of unreachable desire; reiteration of the loving topic; critical vision of the own culture; games of fake dates; comic strip dialogues; crude images, structural chaos and inter-textualities with the means of communication.
