RAYMUNDO GOMEZCÁSSERES. METÁSTASIS Y DÍAS ASÍ: LA UTOPÍA EVISCERADA

Resumen

El presente ensayo precisa la necesidad de que la crítica regional y nacional dé cuenta de manera integral de la producción literaria colombiana, con miras a superar los estudios reiterativos sobre los autores que han sido considerados representativos del canon de la novela del Caribe colombiano. Se expresa el desequilibrio que existe entre la riqueza diversa de la producción literaria del Caribe colombiano y la escasa y en muchas ocasiones nula crítica sobre autores como Raymundo Gomezcásseres, escritor central de este estudio, quien a pesar de la calidad alcanzada en su novela Días así, es casi un absoluto desconocido para la crítica literaria nacional. En este ensayo se analizará la dimensión estética de las novelas Metástasis y Días así, cuya isotopía medular se centra en representar cómo lo nuevo, lo joven, la provincia, la ciudad-capital, el pensamiento moderno y sus inflexiones éticas, estéticas e ilustradas, han sido y se proyectan aniquiladas y deformadas por la alianza entre la tradición institucionalizada puritana y la sociedad capitalista.

ABSTRACT

This essay states the need for regional and national critic to integrally present and reveal everything that concerns to the Colombian literary production, in order to outperform the repetitive studies on writers that have constituted the canon of Colombian Caribbean novel. It depicts the imbalance that lies between the rich diversity of Colombian Caribbean literary production and the scarce and almost inexistent critic on the main author analyzed here: Raymundo Gómezcássares who, despite the high quality in writing he has shown in his novel Días así, he is hardly recognized by national critics. This essay will also deal with the aesthetic dimension of the novels Metástasis and Días así, whose main topic aims to represent how the new, the young, the province, the capital city, the modern thinking and its ethic aesthetic and illustrated inflections have been and have been shown as annihilated and blurred by the alliance between the puritan established tradition and the capitalist society.
