TEORÍA FEMINISTA, ILUSTRACIÓN Y MODERNIDAD: NOTAS PARA UN DEBATE

Abstract

El siguiente artículo pretende mostrar las conexiones entre las teorías feministas y la ilustración, y desde allí, disertar sobre las derivaciones que estas han tenido en la modernidad y la posmodernidad. La herencia que la Ilustración dejaría a la modernidad amplió las posibilidades de educación y además contribuyó a transformar las actitudes hacia el sujeto masculino y femenino. Se resaltarán los aportes feministas, y cómo desde sus orígenes ilustrados, es posible poner de relieve las tensiones y contradicciones que las vindicaciones feministas, han suscitado en los enfoques teóricos y emancipatorios de su discurso.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to show the connections that exist between feminist theories and the Illustration and from this point on, to expound about the derivations these have had throughout Modernity and Post-modernity. The heritage left by the Illustration to Modernity enhanced educational opportunities and contributed to transform the attitudes towards male and female subjects. Feminist contributions will be highlighted, as well as the tensions and contradictions that feminist vindications have produced –since their origins- in theoretical and emancipation approaches of their discourse.
