Abstract

What would happen if a video game was capable of emotionally involving a player so much that they could not differentiate between
fiction and reality? Nowadays, more and more video games are breaking the barriers between reality and fiction, that is, breaking the pact of conscious conviction prevailing in the world of video games (as well as in theater). This article refers to the topic of the connections between the scenic pact of theater and the ludic pact in video games. They can be defined as the common points or similarities that exist when a theatrical performance is carried out or a video game is played. The main characteristic that unites both disciplines is that formed by the narrative and how it is structurally constituent. Although the configuration of the video games is very complex and varies depending on one game and another, the way of telling the stories is very similar. This research was carried out due to the dynamic progress that is being made in this area. Video games are beginning to simulate reality in a very alarming way, and as a result, players are increasingly demanding, asking game creators to make them feel even more emotions and develop their senses.
