MANO DE OBRA, OCUPACIONES Y MECANISMOS DE CONTROL SOCIAL EN EL CARIBE COLOMBIANO, 1850-1900

Resumen

Este artículo analiza las formas en que se manifestó la escasez de trabajadores durante el siglo XIX, los mecanismos coyunturales empleados por los empresarios para satisfacer sus necesidades y las políticas de fondo que se propusieron como solución definitiva. Resalta la importancia de tener en cuenta ciertos mecanismos institucionales que definían el ámbito al que se circunscribía las relaciones laborales.

ABSTRACT

This paper examines the ways in which they said the labor shortage during the nineteenth century, short-term mechanisms employed by employers to meet their needs and underlying policies that were proposed as a final solution. Highlights the importance of taking into account certain institutional mechanisms that define the area that was limited to labour relations.
